Privacy and support

Private, local, and easy to troubleshoot.

Veil keeps its runtime simple: local settings, optional local logs, and a direct support path when you need help.

Privacy

What Veil does, and what it does not.

No account required

You do not need a login, subscription, or cloud account to use Veil.

Stored locally

Settings such as dimming values, startup behavior, tray behavior, and hotkeys stay on your PC.

Optional logs

Logging is off by default. If you turn it on, those logs stay local unless you choose to share them.

Platform note

Microsoft Store may collect its own platform data under Microsoft policies. That is separate from Veil's runtime.

Support

Direct contact and the minimum useful debug info.

Include this in a bug report

  • Your Windows version.
  • How many monitors you are using.
  • Whether the issue is dimming, Highlight Mode, tray, or startup behavior.
  • What you expected, and what happened instead.

Local files

Settings and optional logs live under your Windows user profile. Veil also includes shortcuts in-app to open those folders directly.

Install source

For installs, updates, or listing issues, start from the official Microsoft Store page.
